Pieced with Purpose Project

Providing CASA children with the opportunity to choose a quilt that speaks to them, providing a child with a portable hug that makes the process they are going through a little less scary.

 

Pieced with Purpose is looking for quilters to partner with us to provide pieced tops and or quilt the tops.

Sizes needed:

45 ish x 54 ish (will be put into our Toddler section)

54-57 ish x 65-72 ish (providing quilts that will be used as bed covers)

 

Our vision
Our Purpose is to provide a CASA child with the opportunity to choose a quilt that speaks to them.

Our Goal is to start with Sebastian County CASA and work our way through Arkansas.

Our Dream is to provide each child with a portable hug that makes the process they are going through a little less scary.

 

Our Process

Foster child picks their quilt – checks it out from website (no fees) – this saves that quilt for that specific child. We pull quilt – embroider quilt label with their name – provide to CASA worker to deliver

 

We are hoping CASA workers will provide the children with the opportunity to choose their quilt via a phone screen or computer screen. If that is not possibly then hopefully the CASA worker will discuss what is available or what the child likes and pick appropriately.

 

We are going to encourage the CASA advocates to choose a quilt around the child’s birthday as this will spread the distributions throughout the year.

 

We can:

• Provide fabric kits for piecing

• Cut yardage asked for so the quilter can cut for top
